About Me

I am an Engineering Physicist specialized in quantum computing, high-performance computing, and data science. I am currently pursuing an M.Sc. in Quantum Science and Technology at the University of Barcelona, focusing on quantum computation, quantum information theory, algorithms, and experimental techniques.

My work spans software development, applied cryptography, and algorithmic optimization in industrial R&D environments. I enjoy building efficient and scalable computational tools and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to solve technical problems with clear practical impact.

Beyond research and engineering, I founded Quantum Learning Wave, an independent educational initiative that designs workshops and open-source material on quantum computing and engineering physics. I am motivated by scientific curiosity, rigorous thinking, and the possibility of contributing to emerging quantum technologies.

Data Scientist Student Worker (2024 – 2025)

Intel Corporation, Heredia, Costa Rica

Developed and maintained automated data analysis tools in Python to process internal engineering data. The tools reduced debug time and improved team efficiency across multiple business units. Collaborated with cross-functional teams in the Tech Leadership Office.

Founder & Coordinator – Quantum Learning Wave (2024 – Present)

Cartago, Costa Rica

Created an independent educational initiative in quantum computing and engineering physics. Designed workshops and open-source educational materials used by students from Costa Rica, promoting accessible and rigorous training in quantum technologies.

Intern Engineer – Quality (2024 – Present)

Engaged in multi-source data analysis to identify trends, conduct statistical evaluations, and provide insights for decision-making and process control. Intern – Physical Dimensional Metrology (2023 – 2024)

Costa Rican Metrology Laboratory (LACOMET), San José, Costa Rica

Led the development of an automated measurement system for gauge blocks using Python and serial communication. Implemented GUI and device control modules that improved precision and significantly reduced manual operation time.

Post-Quantum Cryptography Research (2023 – 2024)

Intel Corporation & Costa Rica Institute of Technology

Worked on the performance characterization of post-quantum encryption algorithms on high-performance CPUs. Used HPC systems, data collection tools, scripting, and statistical analysis to evaluate algorithmic behavior and scalability.

Developed a quantum machine learning workflow using Qiskit during the #QiskitFallFest25 Hackathon.

Automated Gauge-Block Measurement System

Python-based control software for an automated dimensional metrology setup. Included serial communication, GUI, and data processing pipeline to reduce manual operation time and improve reproducibility.

Intel Data Analysis & Visualization Platform

Web-based internal tool (Python, MongoDB, Pandas, Dash) for processing engineering datasets, generating automatic reports, and enabling rapid debugging across multiple business units.

Benchmarking Post-Quantum Cryptography

Performance characterization of post-quantum cryptography algorithm CRYSTALS-Kyber integrating scripting, profiling tools, and statistical analysis of runtime behavior.

Quantum Learning Wave Educational Materials

Designed open-source lecture notes, coding notebooks, and problem sets for introductory quantum computing and quantum physics workshops aimed at university students.
